An intimate, experience-first celebration with effortless luxury and relaxed vibes
If you’ve ever dreamed of a luxury destination wedding that feels intentional, intimate, and completely unbothered by tradition, Joe and Becky’s wedding at Le Blanc Cancun is exactly the kind of inspiration you’re looking for.
Their day was the perfect blend of high-end luxury and laid-back energy—proof that destination weddings don’t have to be overproduced to feel elevated. Everything about their celebration centered on experience: where they stayed, how they celebrated, and how they chose to spend time with the people who mattered most.
An Intimate Destination Wedding in Cancun, Mexico
Joe and Becky planned a closest friends and family only destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico—less than ten guests, zero pressure, and full permission to do the day their way.
They intentionally chose Le Blanc Cancun because it delivers luxury without stiffness. From the moment you arrive, everything is curated to feel seamless, elevated, and relaxed—exactly the environment they wanted for their wedding experience.
This wasn’t about flashy extras. It was about comfort, connection, and creating a once-in-a-lifetime experience with the people they love most.

Getting Ready in a Luxury Suite (No Rush, No Rules)
Becky got ready in their stunning suite alongside her sister—calm, unrushed, and filled with quiet anticipation. There was no rigid timeline, no staged moments, and no pressure to perform.
While they didn’t plan a traditional first look, Joe eventually joined Becky toward the end of her getting-ready time. That moment—private, genuine, and emotional—was one of the most meaningful parts of the day. It allowed them to truly see each other and fully absorb the significance of what the day represented.
Sometimes, the most powerful moments happen when you let go of expectations.

From Suite to Ceremony: A Wedding Day That Flowed Naturally
I documented Joe and Becky as they made their way from their suite down to the lobby to meet their guests—just their inner circle, waiting with excitement and champagne in hand.
They shared a quick toast, a few intimate laughs, and then headed straight toward the beach. One of the many reasons Le Blanc Cancun works so beautifully for weddings is its effortless access to the ocean—no transportation, no stress, no long transitions.
Shoes off at the edge of the resort, toes in the sand, ocean breeze rolling in.

A Beach Ceremony with a Private Vow Moment
Their ceremony was simple, elegant, and intentionally intimate. With nothing but the beautiful, blue sea as their backdrop.
Because Joe and Becky are naturally introverted and private, they made a thoughtful compromise with their families: for a brief moment during the ceremony, they walked a little closer to the ocean and had their guests stand at a distance while they exchanged private vows. They wanted it to be just the two of them, the ocean, and the weight of the moment.
This is the kind of flexibility that small guest counts make possible. When you’re only asking a handful of people to step back for a moment, it feels easy, respectful, and incredibly meaningful.
After their vows, their officiant returned to complete the ceremony—ring exchange, pronouncement, and their first kiss as a married couple.
We wrapped up with a few more portraits of just the two of them before everyone headed back to the resort to get ready for dinner.

A Truly One-of-a-Kind Wedding Dinner Experience
Dinner was held under a private, chic hut on the resort property, perfectly styled and intimate.
Earlier that morning, Joe and Becky had gone on one of Le Blanc’s fishing excursions—another example of how this venue prioritizes experience. Whatever you catch on the excursion can be prepared by the resort and served for your wedding dinner.
Fresh, personal, and completely unforgettable.
This is the kind of detail that turns a destination wedding into a story you’ll talk about for the rest of your life.

Why I Always Recommend a Day-After Session for Destination Weddings
Joe and Becky also opted for a day-after photo session, and honestly—it’s something I recommend to nearly every destination couple.
We ventured outside the resort to a local beach for a more casual, relaxed session. No timeline pressure. No wedding-day nerves. Just the two of them, soaking in the fact that they were married and fully present in the experience.
If you’re traveling somewhere incredible and bringing a photographer with you, take full advantage of it. A day-after session gives you:
- More variety in your gallery
- A pressure-free, FUN experience
- Additional locations without rushing
- Even more storytelling from your destination wedding
It’s one of the best ways to maximize your investment—and your memories.
